Unique Context
One of the things that makes Piton Exploration stand out is the unique level of context provided in our structural analysis. Prior to conducting field investigations, we scour both published geologic papers and any proprietary investigations in order to be fully immersed in project specifics. We then work with the client to capture and collect the most relevant structural data that will help optimize the project.
For mineral exploration projects, we conduct a thorough polyphase structural analysis of the property. This includes a pre-mineralization review of ground conditions prior to the mineralization event (i.e. what set the stage?), followed by an exhaustive syn-mineralization study of any and all folding, faulting, and fracturing of rocks that contributed to localization of ore-bearing fluids and mineral paragenesis, and finally concluding with a post-mineralization synopsis of any later structures that have potentially offset, truncated, or otherwise deform the orebody.
This analysis is then presented in light of the regional tectonic framework along with suggestions on how to use the information collected in order to expand the existing resource. We also provide in-depth geotechnical analyses, designed to help client understand both surface sub-surface conditions before breaking ground on new construction projects. This includes slope stability analyses and rockfall mitigation strategies, to ensure all ground masses on each jobsite are stablized and safe.
Rope Access
Another thing that sets us apart from our competitors is our experience with rope access work in mineral exploration. Our founder, Cody Pink, holds memberships with the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association and Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians, and is one of the only geologists in Alaska qualified to do these jobs safely. This is a highly-specialized niche, which means Piton Exploration can work on sites where others turn away. We take pride in demonstrating to the industry that steep to vertical technical terrain can be navigated safely and these sections of their project site aren’t necessarily off-limits to exploration.
Year-Round Support
Cody is also authorized as a Certified Professional Geologist to act as a Qualified Person as stipulated by NI 43-101. From regional to prospect scale target generation, to pre-feasibility, feasibility, and production, our crew provides hands-on, boots-on-the-ground support year-round.
