Stevan loves jobs that take him to remote, austere places and the challenges that go with them. Seven seasons of trail building taught him the value of a strong work ethic and to work as a team. Eleven seasons working in Antarctica and Greenland as a carpenter and tower climber helped him develop the skill set to solve unique problems and make things happen in tough logistical and environmental conditions. Stevan is a current Wilderness First Responder and rope access technician and has worn many (hard) hats with Piton including leading pad building crews, rope access, camp building and management, geophysical survey line cutting, and helicopter long line operations to name a few.
Based in Gunnison, CO, his free time focuses on mountain biking, bikepacking, backcountry skiing, whitewater boating, and international travel.
